ABSTRACT
VENDING MACHINES” are very common in metro cities
These machines can vend various products like -Snacks,
Books, Medicines, Beverages, Food etc. And with the help
of user interface provided on the machine , an user can
select several products and can proceed for payment,
once the payment is confirmed and justified the machine
delivers the products chosen by the user.

These machines are complete package of various

mechanical and electronic components. Although these
machines are widely used in many cites of country but
most of them are imported from china and hence they
come with increased cost , this reason leads to limited
target users of such machines. This innovation helps to
facilitate increased number of target users and increased
installation opportunities of such vending machines.
Traditional Vending Machines
Problems related to traditional
vending machines
 Although VENDING MACHINES can be very useful
in number of situations but there are various
problems related with it-

(1) High cost of vending machines.

(2) Heavy weight of machine.

(3) Hefty power consumption.

(4) Most of the machines are MADE IN CHINA.

Vending machine made by us
Modifications Done
 The vending machine made by us , is completely “MADE IN
INDIA” product , and in order to solve the above stated
problems this vending machine is having following
functionalities –

(1) Vending machine made by us costs just INR 25000 .

(2) It weighs just one third of conventional machine's weight.

(3) Machine works on 5V i.e. whole machine can be run just by

a MOBILE POWER BANK.

(4) It is “MADE IN INDIA”.

(5) No need of internet connectivity for machine

TECHNOLOGY USED
Various technologies used in this machine are listed
below :-

(1) Microcontroller
(2) GSM module
(3) Continuous rotation servo
(4) Servo motor shield
(5) 5v battery backup
(6) Spring conveyers
(7) Anti theft system
(8) SMS ALERT on any attempt of robbery.
(9) Accepting digital payments like “PAYTM , PHONEPE,
BHIM” etc.
Arduino

Arduino is a programmable micro controller

GSM module
 GSM module gets connected with Arduino and
enables it to connect with Mobile network in
order to have an ability to send and receive
SMS and to receive and make phone calls
Anti-theft system

If machine gets tilted more than 15 degrees

Or it feels excessive vibrations , it
automatically stops delivering products
and sends a text message and makes a
phone call at owners mobile number
Working
STEP 1 : Select the products from user interface
provided on machine.

STEP 2 : Make payment using any of the digital

payment app like “PAYTM , PHONEPE, BHIM”

STEP3 : Payment gets confirmed by machine, and

product is delivered. Please follow the following
link for watch the working of machine-

APPLICATION
A low cost and affordable vending machine has
various applications , some of them are listed
below-
(1) In colleges and schools
(2) In shopping mall
(3) On road sides , similar to ATM machines.
(4) Can be used by shopkeepers
(5) Bus stops and railway stations.
(6) Promoting “DIGITAL INDIA” in rural
areas of india.
CLAIMS OF INNOVATION
(1) This innovation claims to be a MADE IN INDIA product.

(2) It claims to have very less cost (app. INR 25000) ,as
compared to conventional vending machine which cost app.
INR 1,00,000. This fact enables this machine to be suitable
with Indian market.

(3) This machine claims to have just one third weight of

conventional machine's weight.

(4) This machine is able to run on 5 volts supply only, and hence
it can be run by just a normal Mobile power bank.

(5) It promotes “DIGITAL INDIA” And “CASHLESS

TRANSACTION”.

(6) No need of internet connectivity for machine.
