How does it fit into Social Media?

‐ Goodreads fits into social media because it is a

platform that allows user to start a group, comment on
others post, like the post, users to add a review. You
can direct message others and add friends.

important information.

Why we might adopt Goodreads

‐ While an immediate thought with Goodreads is “it’s a

reading site”, it is much more. The expectation is not
solely based on the books, but it is about interacting
with others, talking to the authors, and expressing
your like or dislike over stories.

7
What are the uses of Goodreads?

‐ The main use of Goodreads is to read. Whether it is a

parent reviewing children’s book for other parents, a
teacher putting reviews for others educators, writers
to promote their work and get their name out. It is to
help get reading back into everyone’s daily life and to
express the likes/dislikes of the book.

8
Would I use it?

‐ Goodreads was introduced to me last semester when

I was taking Children’s Literature. The website is
extremely helpful with narrowing books that are
similar with what we like. It is also a great way to
interact with other avid readers and be able to review
with a star system and had a quick summary/opinion
on what you thought of the book. I could see myself
using the site once I being teaching, but otherwise,
no.
