• CHAPTER I

• INTRODUCTION
• 1.1 OBJECTIVE

• The mini refrigerator is a popular household appliance that consists of a thermally insulated
compartment and a heat sink that transfers heat from the inside of the fridge to its external environment so
that the inside of the fridge is cooled to temperature below the ambient temperature of the room. The
Peltier is a device where one side of it is going to be cool and other side will be hot when it is connected to
battery. Firstly the Peltier device is attached to heat sink by using thermo paste. This thermo paste is used
because it can transfer cool and heat energy through it. If we use any other material, it will act like an
insulator. Then the heat sink is fixed with an exhaust fan to remove the heat emitted by the Peltier device.
The other side of Peltier is attached to the cool sink, which emit cool breeze and this sink is also fixed to an
inlet fan which is used to cool the inner atmosphere of the fridge. We connect the both exhaust fan and inlet
fan to ac current and the Peltier device to the 9v battery. And we are using an adaptor, which will take 240v
as input and 12v as output.

Thermo cooling uses the peltier effect to create a heat flux between the junction of two different types of materials. A peltier cooler, heater or thermoelectric
A peltier cooler can aslo be used as a thermoelectric generaror. When operated as acooler, a voltage is applied across the device, and as a result, a difference
