I have lived in Long Beach almost my whole
life, and no matter where I go, I always look
forward to coming home and seeing the Long
Beach skyline welcome me back. As a kid, I
remembered wanting to visit the aquarium
and pestering my parents to take me to see
the whales. When we did finally go to the
Aquarium of the Pacific I was upset because
my parents had taken me to the wrong
place! Turns out this giant cylinder building
with whales painted around the outside was
not in fact an aquarium but instead a part of
the Long Beach Arena!
