SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

ORIENTATION
HISTORY
• In November 2010, the institution was formally launched
offering the following programs:
Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Services
Diploma in Travel & Tour Management
Diploma in Business Management
Diploma in Computer Science
The privilege of extending our expertise to train every citizen not just
for local employment but also being globally competitive. This mantra
prompted the institution to offer short term programs

Culinary Arts
Commercial Cooking NC II
Travel Services NC II
Bartending NC II
Food and Beverage Services NC II
Computer Programming NC IV
Computer Hardware Servicing NC II
Bookkeeping NC III.
CASAP formally opened its operation on June 13, 2011 with
three start up campuses.

CASAP Pasig Campus


CASAP Taytay Rizal Campus
CASAP Bacolod Campus.
CASAP opens its CASAP Rodriguez Campus on 2015 with an
initial offerings of:

Basic Education
Tertiary
On the same year, CASAP Bacolod also expands its operation in
Education Programs that will cater Preschool and Basic Education
Programs

2015 is a breakthrough point for CASAP as all of its campuses


received its accreditation from the Department of Education
(DepEd). This time, to offer Senior High School Programs.
The outstanding academic performance of CASAP prompted the
management to open its newest Campus in Marikina City, CASAP
Marikina shall offer Preschool, Basic Education and Senior High
School effective School Year 2016-2017.

CASAP SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL OBJECTIVES
CASAP will engage all students in a positive learning experience such that
they leave the school with the capabilities, keen desire and confidence to

CASAP seeks to foster a community of learners and critical

ACADEMIC POLICIES & PROCEDURES
ADMISSIONS

The Senior High School Department of the College of Arts & Sciences
of Asia & the Pacific complies with the Guidelines of the National
Implementation of the Senior High School Program on the Non-DepEd
Schools.

 Photocopy of Grade 10 Report Card (with LRN) if Public
 Certificate of Junior High School Completion
 Certificate of Good Moral Character
 QVR Certificate (Qualified Voucher Applicants
Only)
GRADING SYSTEMS AND EXAMINATIONS

The school year is divided into two semesters. Students who are
absent on the examination days are allowed to take the exams within a
week from the last day of examination. Doctors certification or other
documents which will make the above acceptable should be presented
along with the letter from the parents.
Students’ grade shall be computed with the following percentages:

The following are the steps in computing for the Final Grades:

Step 1: Grades from all students work are added up.

Raw scores from each component have to be converted to a


Percentage Score. This is to ensure that values are parallel to
each other.
Step 2: The sum for each component is converted to the
Percentage Score. To compute the Percentage Score (PS), divide
the raw score by the highest possible score then multiply the
quotient by 100%
Step 3: Percentage Scores are then converted to Weighted
Scores to show the importance of each component in
promoting learning in the different subjects.

The Percentage Score is multiplied by the weight of the


component/criteria, the product is known as the Weighted
Score.
Step 4: The sum of the Weighted Scores in each components
is the Initial Grade. This Initial Grade will be transmuted
using the given transmutation table to get the Quarterly
Grade (QG)

Step 5: The Quarterly Grade for each learning area is


written in the report card of the student

How to Continue Participate in Voucher Program?

A Voucher Program Beneficiary shall continue to be a participant


of the SHS VP if they are promoted to the next grade level and is
enrolled in a Non DepEd SHS Provider. No maintaining grade is
required for a VPB to continue to participate in the SHS VP.
A VPB shall be disqualified from further participation in
the SHS VP for any of the following reasons:
VPB drops out in the middle of the School Year;
VPB does not re-enroll the following School Year;
VPB is retained in the same grade level;

VPB transfer to another Senior High School


Provider within the School Year;
VPB transfers to a DepEd Senior High School Provider.
How about regarding Transfers?
VPBs are not allowed to transfer to another Senior High School within
the School Year, if a VPB decides to transfer to another Non-DepEd
SHS provider after the School Year, the VPB may continue to
participate in the SHS VP in the accepting Non-DepEd SHS Provider.
Track and Strand Shifting

VPBs are allowed to shift to another track or strand


under the following scenarios:
VPB Leavers

VPB that passed Grade 11 but did not enroll for Grade 12 the
succeeding School Year are considered leavers. Leavers are
disqualified from further participation in the SHS VP unless the
reason of leaving school is due to health reasons and provided
further that the period of medical leave is not more than one (1)
School Year
>Leavers due to medical reasons may continue to
participate in the SHS VP, however, they are required to
submit a medical certificate issued by a duly licensed
medical doctor.

 Roaming around the campus during the class hours.


 Misbehavior during flag ceremony

 Tardiness (On quarterly basis)

 Failure to perform assigned tasks

 Playing video games during class hour (Confiscation is


part of the sanction)

 Bringing on pets, laser pointers and other


harmful electronic devices and equipment
 Any offense similar to any of the above.

teachers and staff via print and broadcast media, internet and
other medium of communication
c. Rebellious actions/remarks against the school
d. Threatening fellow students, teachers and staff and/or
persons in authority using deadly weapons.
e. Possession, sale or use of deadly weapons and ammunitions and
all forms of explosives
f. On Dangerous Drugs
g. Possession
h. Coming school under the influence
i. Peddling or pushing
j. Enlisting, recruiting, engaging in activities with
pseudo fraternities and sororities, gangs and other
similar groups
k. Hazing
l. Extortion
m. Engaging in premarital sex
n. Elopement
o. Stealing school’s property and other personal property
p. Theft
q. Illicit relationship with school personnel
r. Any offense analogous to any of the above.
