History
 Bayerische Motoren Werke AG ( BMW), (English: Bavarian Works) is
a German automobile, motorcycle and engine until 1945
manufacturing company.
BMW was originally founded in 1916, by Franz Josef Popp.
BMW headquarter is in Munich, Bavaria.
BMW produces motor vehicles in Germany, Brazil, China, India, South
Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In 2015, BMW was the world's twelfth largest producer of motor
vehicles, with 2,279,503 vehicles produced.
 The BMW logo was inspired by the rotating propeller of the
aeroplane engine.
The BMW is considered as one of the greatest car manufacturers in
the history of the automobile industry.
The BMW AG is also the parent manufacturer of the Rolls Royce
Motor Cars and owns Mini as well.
The brand name given to the motorbikes produced by the company is
BMW Motorrad.
BMW finds a place amongst the top three luxury car manufacturers in
the world. The other two are the Mercedes-Benz and Audi AG.
