MOTIVATION
• In the existing system, we have no chance to alert the driver in case
he is not doing any specific operation for some particular amount of
time in which he may be in unconscious state or in drowsiness.

• Because of this negligence, there may be a chance for train

accidents, which costs man lives. To avoid this we are developing
this proposed system, which alerts the loco pilot after certain
amount of time if he does not do any operation.
PROJECT GOALS
• In the proposed system, we are alerting the driver about his work
after certain amount of time, during which he is not operating any
operation.

• The alert comes in the form of buzzer sound. If he responds during

the buzzer, then, the system goes into normal state. Otherwise the
train stops immediately.

• And also in this project, the driver can send the signal to the gate
side to operate the railway gate. Because of this proposed system,
we can avoid the accidents due to negligence of the driver.
LITERATURE SURVEY
• “OnRoad Train Detection: A Review” IEEE Press, February 1997 By
Zehang Sun, George Bebis, and Ronald Miller

• The above article is used for the information found by study and
research that is critical and have an important value in the
contribution of the whole project.

• “Wireless Infrared Communications”, Proceedings of the IEEE, Vol.

85, pp. 265, February 1997. By J. M Khan & J.R Barry

• It also gives some basic knowledge or theoretical base and is used

as a foundation to successfully achieve the main objectives
INTRODUCTION
• Now-a-days public is facing many threats from the railway
department by which they are hesitating to plan a train journey. The
main reason for this is due to the accidents that occur due to
negligence of train drivers.

• Though the railway department is trying to take actions to reduce

such informal things but couldn’t see the face of success. To help
out the department, we have designed our system.
