    What does Hot Potatoes do?

    Hot potatoes is a software that allows teachers


    creating different resources, particularly evaluative
    tasks that can be applied to students through a
    computers network, sent to emails or uploaded to
    websites to allow working online.
    What kind of activities can teachers do by
    using Hot Potatoes?
    The software contains 5 sub applications that allow teachers making
    crossword puzzles, quizzes, unscrambling exercises, gap-filling
    exercises and matching activities. The names of the applications are:
    • JCLOZE, for gap-filling
    • JCROSS, for crossword puzzles
    • JMIX for unscrambling exercises
    • JMATCH for matching activities and
    • JQUIZ for multiple choice-based quizzes
    Additionally to those 5 programs, Hot Potatoes has an
    application that compiles activities done in the other
    applications and creates full units to work a single
    topic through diverse activities.
