WHAT DO THEY SAY?
- The findings of Wei Wei and Xiaojn Wan
( from the Institute of Computer Science and Technology, Peking
University in their article, “Learning to Identify Ambiguous and
Misleading Headlines,”)

(1) that online news publishers use clickbait headlines to make

their headlines catchy,
(2) domestic and world news which usually cover political and
military events have a high rate of accuracy,
(3) the highest incidence of inaccurate headlines in
entertainment news may result from its lack of seriousness.
