INTRODUCTION
Each and everyday of a construction site is very
dangerous.
Accidents are more frequent at the end of the day so the
site should have good lighting.
Small building jobs becomes more risky because of
ignorance.
Light weight shoes and casual footwear are not suitable
for construction site. Safety shoe is very important for
Site workers .
Safety Helmets , safety jackets ,safety boots and safety
belts can prevent injuries and even death.
Site should keep tidy. Raw materials and waste materials
should keep properly and separately at different places.

CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENTS
WORKING AT HEIGHT
Using ladders or scaffolding without proper
fixing is very dangerous.
Make sure there are hand rail and toe boards at
all edges and safety nets under the platforms.
Workers should use safety belts while working
on scaffolds.
Things can fall on site,labours should wear
safety helmet.
Before start work at height check for clearance
from any overhead power lines.

ROOF SAFETY
Always inspect a roof before you walk on it.
You must have guard rails to stop you from falling
off the edge.
You must use proper safety harnesses and
running cables when working on top of a roof.
EXCAVATION WORK
Allexcavation is deeper than 1.25 meters must
be shored.
Excavation deeper than 2 meters must have
guard rail or barrier.
Vehicles working too close to side of the trench
may cause collapse.
Make sure the excavation is inspected daily.
Make sure you know where any underground
pipes,before you hit it.
Trench side can collapse without warning.

CRANE SAFETY
The weight of the load must be carefully
estimated.
The crane must always work on a hard base.
The load must be properly fixed and secured.
The crane operator must be properly trained.
The signalman must be trained to give clear
signal.

ELECTRICITY
Work carefully with electricity.
Check constantly that cables are not
damaged.
Keep cables away from water.
Never overload plugs or fuses.
Always take care that powered cables
are not open.
