February:
1. Collaboration with NHAI to organized Capacity Building program on
Leadership Skills for Animators/Self-Help Group Members on a 50:50
expenditure incurred by both parties. The amount reimbursed to SOS
CV Donation Account
2. Collaboration with NHAI for Bal Panchayat from 5 FSP locations on
Road Safety Week

March:
1. Capacity Building Program for Animators was organized in SOS CV for
two-days(Resource Person from MBDA was invited)
2. To equipped one-self with scientific method of ginger cultivation prior to
plantation, SHG members from FSP location Pynthor attended the
exposure program at Ginger Development Station, Govt. of Meghalaya
3. Capacity Building of SHGs to NRLM Resource Block was organized
4. Implementation of IGPs
5. Celebration of International Women Day’s at SOS Campus
Activities carried out from Jan – May
2019
April:
1. Activities organized by TISS Students for Bal Panchayat
2. 24 FSP Beneficiaries from FSP Location Mynsain, Pynthor & Umktieh
appeared for the Basic Computer Course
3. Initial Survey for new FSP locations
4. Family Visit’s for monitoring the IGP support extended in 2017&2018
5. Implementation of IGPs

May:
1. Family Visit’s for monitoring the IGP support extended in 2017&2018
2. Follow-up on Mini-ginger processing unit Scheme under Directorate of
Agriculture
3. Celebration of international Day of Families and launching of National
Campaigin#NoChild Alone

2019
Livelihood Promotions:
1. Income Generation Programmes(Planned) in 2019
– 44 families
2. Income Generation supported till date – 16 families
Plan to support 28 Families with IGP Support is
initiated
IGP Supported in 2019: Livestock Rearing(Cattle &
Piggery), Ginger Cultivation, Petty Shop, sale of
Second Hand Clothes etc.

Capacity Building
FSP Shillong over the years has taken due emphasis in organizing Capacity
Building Skill Training programme for SHGs. The Program has organized
Exposure Program for SHGs to NRLM Intensive Blocks to learn through the
interactions and how best to sustain the SHGs with different activities
undertaken
The feature programs organized for SHGs/Animators:
i. Entrepreneurship Development Programme(specific to the activity)
ii. Book-Keeping & SHG Management(NRLM is taking lead to organize
capacity building program on Book-Keeping)
iii. Agri-Allied Activities(organized in collaboration with *GDS/Animal
Husbandry & Veterianry Office
iv. Exposure of SHGs to a working SHG
v. Promotion of Kitchen garden

Activities organized:
1. Child Rights & Child protection programmes for the Bal panchayat is a
regular feature of the FS Programme which was organized in
collaboration with District Child Protection Unit, Nongpoh
2. Cleaning Drive is a regular feature in all FSP Locations.
3. Local issues have been taken-up in the community by the Bal
Panchayats
4. Sports Meets organized in SOS Campus for Bal Panchayat from all FSP
Locations in January 2019.
Bal Panchayat organized a Skit on Child rights & child protection awareness
programme/Movie Screenings carried out in the FSP Locations

1. Ensure packages of services as per Guidelines of Delivery of Services(revised) to
be extended to families.
2. Completion of Survey for Enrollment of new families in Mawbsein Village – June
2019
3. Leap tool assessment to be organized – June 2019
4. Self Evaluation of FS Program by an external agency in August 2019
5. IGP 1st support to be extended phase wise from June – October 2019
6. Capacity Building Programs to be organized from June – November 2019
a) Entrepreneurship Development Programme to be carried in June/July 2019
out at Rural Resource Training Centre(RRTC)
b) Leadership Skills Training for SHGs/Animators in August/September 2019
c) Exposure program for SHGs to a working SHGs
7. Bal Panchayat activities(BP members to be trained on their rights and responsibilities and to
play active role in preventing school drop outs, health and hygiene promotion and in
organizing sports and cultural programmes in their communities)
8. Discussion with the Headman’s in respective FSP Locations and to look into the possibility of
providing a safe-drinking water facility
9. Discussion with the School management Committee(SMC) in respective FSP Locations for quality
improvement measures and one –time cost of minor repairs after the outcome of the meeting between the
SMC and FS Programme Coworker’s
