sexual history taking and examination
5. Writing medical letters.

Basic Clinical Skill
• Venue:
– Lecture in Sudirman
– Clinical Skill in Skill Lab (Pulau Serangan)
• Role Playing:
– 1 student plays as doctor, another as patient, the
others observer
– Documented and evaluated according to the check list
in the study guide or student workbook
– Independently rehearse before reviews from
facilitators
– Evaluation: self, peer, and facilitator evaluation
Assessment Method
• Summative Assessment:
– Block Examination (70%)
– OSCE (role playing)
• Formative Assessment:
– Student Workbook
– Student Project Presentation

– SGD (5%)
STUDENT PROJECTS EXPLANATION
(refer to study guide for complete information )

• Student projects is aimed to ensure adequate


learning process and will be used as your
formative and sumative assessment
• All student projects should be recorded in
your workbook, except for video making
• On having finished a student project ask for
signature and evaluation from your facilitator
• Prepare 1 laptop for presentation in your
SGD for student project 6
• Completed student workbook and all
attachments should be collected in group to
secretary of Block at the end of the block
(24th of March 2016).
STUDENT PROJECT 1
• Individual assigment
• Answer questions based on Skills in
Communicating with Patient
• Ref: Silvermann & Kurtz, Chp. 1
STUDENT PROJECT 2
• Individual assignment
• Select one symptom or disease and make
brief summary based on concepts of history
taking and review of the system suits to the
symptom/disease chosen
• Each group should have complete summary of
the all symptoms/diseases in your student
project.
STUDENT PROJECT 3
• Group project (certain groups: refer study guide)
• Make an audiovisual record of medical
interview in group
• The time provided will be enough for
preparation and making the video recording
• The play should comprise all steps in medical
interview based on Calgary Cambridge
Observation Guide
• Project presentation: 21st of March 2016
STUDENT PROJECT 4
• Write letters, note and CV according to the
cases given.
• Each student should write the letters down in
the student workbook
• Each group should present their work on SP
Presentation (14th of March 2016)
STUDENT PROJECT 5
• Individual assignment: Write an abstract of a review
or research article in English for both classes.
• Maximum: 500 words, topic: health related issue
• Avoid plagiarism, translation from article in Bahasa is
permitted
• Write/attach the abstract in student workbook
• Hard copy should be collected to the lecture at SP
presentation during plenary session of 2nd day
lecture. Soft copy will also be needed for
presentation
STUDENT PROJECT 6
• Group presentation for individual assignment:
Prepare a presentation for scientific meeting and
present it in your SGD
• Seminar Simulation:
Each class selects in advance 2 representatives
that will present their topics in front of the class,
1 moderator, 1 MC, and 1 AVA assistant.
• Theme: health related issue
• Presentation: Group (21st of March 2016),
Seminar (22th of March 2016)
STUDENT PROJECT 7
• In group: (certain groups: refer to study
guide)
Plan and make a health campaign program.
The video of your campaign will be presented
in front of the class room for evaluation.
• Topic: health related issue, will be detailed by
the lecture.
• Presentation date: 22nd of March 2016
