Teens who practice any type of sport
are less likely to waste time on the
streets where they can get in serious
problems. By engaging in sports
they live healthy, make social
connections and are less likely to
stick around dangerous people.
 Help Kids Find a Future
If kids find a future the
percentage of people in poverty
would stop and or slow down.
Michael Oher, a homeless black teen, has drifted in and out of the school
system for years. Then Leigh Anne Tuohy and her husband, Sean, took
him in. The Tuohys eventually became Michael's legal guardians,
transforming both his life and theirs. Michael's tremendous size and
protective instincts make him a formidable force on the field, and with
help from his new family and devoted tutor, he realizes his potential as a
student and football player.

A lot of teens and kids watch celebrities and
athletes on TV, Youtube, and or school.

Malcolm X wasn’t a celebrity or athlete but he

had a large voice back in his time. One day
hundreds of people stood in front of a hospital
protesting. The police were going to remove the
people by force but instead of any bloodshed,
Malcolm turned around, raised his hand and
pointed to the left and everyone went home.

Control over our lives is something we all want. But in a universe in
which everything is mutually independent, none of us has absolute
control over anything except ourselves. The closer personally and
physically others are to us, the greater our influence over them, and vice
versa. Unlike our attempts to control, our attempts to influence don't
require our conscious intent. Which is why our ability to influence others
is so much more important than our ability to control them: we're
always exerting influence simply by being who we are, saying what we
say, and doing what we do. The only real choice we have in the matter is
whether or not the influence we exert is good or bad.
