Simile
 A simile is a figure of speech that compares two different things in an
interesting way. The object of a simile is to spark an interesting
connection in a reader's or listener's mind. A simile is one of the most
common forms of figurative language. Similes can be found just about
anywhere from poems to song lyrics and even in everyday
conversations.

 Haiku Poemas Content 3 lines

 A three line japanese poem verse form. The firts and the third lines
each have five syllables and the second line has seven syllables.
 The poems areused to paint a picture in the readers mind.
 Each lines has a certain numbers of syllables.
 This Form a 5,7,5 patern.
 Haiku are usually about nature.

BIOGRAPHY
 Louis Untermeyer (1885-1977)

Louis Untermeyer was the author, editor or compiler,


and translator of more than one hundred books for
readers of all ages. He will be best remembered as the
prolific anthologist whose collections have introduced
students to contemporary American poetry since
1919. He wrote “The Dog of Pompeii” The Following
story takes place in A.D. 79 in Pompeii, a roman City
in southern Italy, when the Vesuvius volcano erupted.
