Introduction
• Internet Cafés is one of the most popular business in the Philippines. It is the best placed to
play video games with friends or use social media and web browsers if you don’t have internet
in your home. One example of Internet Café that uses membership program is Cyberzone
Internet Café located at Las Pinas City.
• As student of DFCAITTI it is one of our task to create improvements on existing systems. We
can’t deny the fact that it is hard for a student to create a better program made by professional
programmers just like the Internet Café Membership Program. What else we can do is to try
and improved the way their program works. We are also going to think of better policies that
will help the program itself like discount systems and benefit system.
• The program is consisting of a countdown timer, log in form and a form for inserting, editing
and deleting information’s from a database. Our program saves the remaining hours and
minutes of the user in case the user decided to log out of their account. The program is made in
the simplest way possible in a way that other students can understand it. All user interface is
also drastically simplified and easy to understand.

Problem Background
Current System
• Cyberzone Internet café current system is fine, their program uses
local area network to send data such as remaining time and amount
of money to be paid and that’s all. We also observed that it is hard to
change some member’s information like password or username.
Membership also don’t get any benefits like discounts or freebies.
Members remaining time do not save albeit they log out of their
account properly.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
• The current system is actually very complicated for a student like me to understand but
what we are proposing is we are going to add certain features for the user and the
internet café admin. Those features include discount system for certain events like
Christmas and Birthdays. Members also pay less amount of money than regular users.
• In order to be a member the person must pay P 100 to the administrator in exchange for
the benefits he/she is going to get.
• Instead of manually adding the time to the account the administrator only needs to
type in the amount of money the member wants to pay and the program will be
automatically compute the number of hours and minutes to insert to the account.
• Our program uses internet connection to connect to the SQL database but can also be
accessible by LAN.
• OBJECTIVES:
• To create a program with better features than the existing one
• To create friendly user interface for everyone
• To easily find all the details needed for a certain account
• To easily edit and delete an account
• Scope:
• The program can search for an existing account
• The program can add new accounts to the database
• The program can connect to the internet in order to be accessible by other
computers
• The program can update an existing account information.
• The program has options to use discounts or not
• The program can save remaining time
• The program can block shortcut keys like alt f4
• Limitation:
• We are students and beginners, we are still learning and don’t have any sufficient
knowledge in some fields like networking and any other stuffs professional
programmers did to create the existing program.
• The program can’t control a computer from other computers
• The program can’t add amount greater than P 120 for some purposes
• The program can only be executed with a computer that has SQL 2014 and Visual
Studio 2012
• The program has least abilities than the existing one.
• It cant recover data when the computer is not shut downed properly
