KONE MOTOR CENTER
MOTORS FOR CRANE USE
41. GENERAL
KONE slip-ring motors are designed for heavy duty, have high peak
torque and their windings are cesigned to meet the demands of
frequent starting and tigh overspeed. The motors are suitable for
electric braking with reverse current and have a low moment of
inertia. Therefore, these motors are ideal for crane use. Types
MS11 to MS20 can be delivered with a disc brake as an option.
KONE motors meet the svecifications of 1EC Publication 34-1, and
their fixing dimensions are in accordance with IEC Publication 72.
A TEMPERAT. rf
The rated outputs are tor duty with an ambient temperature not
exceeding 40°C and an aititude not exceeding 1000 m above sea
level. When motor is operating conditions, where the ambient
temperature or/and the altitude differ, the rated output must be
reduced as below.
Ambient temperature/°C Max,autput/Nom.cutput /*
40 100
45 35
50 30
85 a5
Altitude above sea ievel/m Max,output/Nom.output /%
1000 100
2000 90
3000 80
4000 70
When both the temperature and the altitude differ from the
standard values the permissible output is nominal output multiplied
by both factors.
