Strategies and Applicable Actions
Extension Officers are being deployed to
the project sites four (4) days a week and
even during Saturdays, Sundays and
Holidays when the schedules of monitoring
requires so.
The Extension Officers and other NGP Staff
were able to attend a training on
Community Organizing on July 17-19
wherein the process of Coaching and
Mentoring was introduced. Extension
Officers are working under the direct
supervision of a site coordinator.
The technology is not yet applied in the
existing nursery. Still waiting for the
downloading of the technology from the
Regional Office.

4. Strengthen working The FLUP Focal Person is constantly only
relation’s with the LGU’s coordinating with MENRO and MPDO of the
thru the MENRO’s and the LGU of Maragondon particularly in the
FLUP process preparation of FLUP. An Executive Order for the
creation of the TWG is going to be signed soon
by the Municipal Mayor for the preparation
and processing of the Forest Land Use Plan
5. Initiate market Tilapia caged culture in the province were all
engagements on specific dismantled due to navigation hindrances. Non-
commodities like charcoal, chemical vegetables technology are being
tilapia-caged culture, practiced in eleven (11) municipalities namely:
furniture, non-chemical General Emilio Aguinaldo, Tanza, Magallanes,
vegetables Indang, Mendez, Silang, Amadeo, Alfonso,
Naic, Imus and Gen. Trias.

6. Enhance data There are only two active People’s Organization in the
base on Partner Province, and these are Ramirez Upland Farmers
PO’s, CBFMA’s, Association, Inc. and Malayang Samahan sa Mts.
PACBRMA’s, etc. Palay-palay. RUFAI has twenty five (25) active
members, twenty one of them are male while the
remaining four (4) are female. On the other hand,
Malayang Samahan has eight (8) male participants.
Most of the crops planted by RUFAI members include
banana, jackfruit, citrus, guyabano, mango coconut,
chili, cashew, calamansi, lukban, ube, black pepper,
rambutan, bamboo, narra and mahogany. Conversely,
Malayang Samahan developed their farm lots by
planting coconut, coffee, pepper, papaya, pineapple,
rambutan, guyabano, calamansi, avocado, banana,
jackfruit, achuete, marang, tomato, chili, ginger, corn,
mangosteen, cashew, santol, suha, dalandan,
rambutan, santones, rice, lansones, cacao,rimas,
cassava, sitaw, okra and egg plant.

Mts. Palay-palay/Mataas na Gulod
Protected Landscape is closed to public
since October 1, 2016 per PAMB Resolution
No. 14-S-2016 dated August 22, 2016 to give
way to the on-going rehabilitation and
conservation activities. Reopening to the
public is yet to be decided until all the
rehabilitation projects are completed.
Hence, no revenue collection as of this
date.

characterized and corresponding
Management Plans were formulated. The
remaining three (3) are subject for
characterization and vulnerability
assessment for the current year. The major

Strategies and Applicable Actions
• Support of legal counsel is necessary to
ensure filing of cases against forest laws
violators, thereby enhancing the rate of
conviction of ENR laws violators.
• To have a designated trial court for
environmental cases in the province in
order to have simplified, speedy and
inexpensive procedure for the
enforcement of environmental laws, rules
and regulations.
• Availability of logistics (laborer, service
vehicle/truck for hauling of
apprehended forest products, etc.)
