Whether old or newly constructed,schools need proper care and maintenance. Equally important for safety at school is your behavior as students. The following list includes some of the ways which students can do to make their school a safe place for them selves and others. Safety in the clasroom - As much as possible there should be sufficient space between rows of tables and chairs to provide freedom of movement within the classroom. - Before the start of each class, check the stability of chairs and condition of table or desks. - Double check on loose electrical wires, open or defective outlets and switches and weak equipment, especially lightning fixtures and electric fans mounted on ceilings and walls. - An overly polished floor leads to accidents.
