INTRODUCTION
 Industry 4.0 is a name given to the current trend
of automation and data exchange in manufacturing
technologies. It consists of cyber physical systems ,
IOT , cloud computing. It is considered as the fourth
revolution of Industry.
 Our main focus is on an optimized form of cloud
computing that is called Edge computing.
Difference between IOT AND CPS

 They sound quite different but the matter of fact is they both
are quite same.
HOWWWW ?
Internet of Things is about connecting "Things" ( Objects
and Machines) to the internet and eventually to each other;
while Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) are integration of
computation(collection of data), networking and physical
process(embedded systems doing the job).
CLOUD COMPUTING
EDGE COMPUTING

• Edge computing is usually termed as ‘processing of

data at the edge of a network’. This usually refers to the
processing of data at the user end instead of being
processed in a local or virtual server.

 So what the difference then ??

let’s see
PRO’S AND CON’S OF EDGE AND
CLOUD COMPUTING
 Both the systems of computing are useful; however, the usage
of a particular technology is determined by the area of
application - as in the case of these two. One does not
override the other; neither can they dominate each other

 In Edge computing processing of data at the user end instead

of being processed in a local or virtual server.

 But sadly in reality an analytic model or rules might be

created in a cloud then pushed out to edge devices !!
OUR MAIN TASK

• We are basically taking an input of user from cloud

and passing it to the edge of machine so that it can
endure those changes accordingly using IOT, CYBER
PHYSICAL SYSTEMS .
EXAMPLE
Wifi-equipped robots triple work efficiency /
Autonomous Robots

 These Autonomous robots are revolutionary in industrial 4.0.

 An online retailer Alibaba has opened the largest ‘smart

warehouse‘ in China manned by 60 cutting-edge robots.
These Wifi-equipped, self-charging machines. are responsible
for moving goods in the warehouse. They send the goods to
human workers, who then arrange the products to be packed
and posted to customers around the world.
Why industrial 4.0 ?
 Alibaba warehouse holds great importance for wifi equipped
robots.

 These robots are responsible for moving goods in the

warehouse ( Finally no labour expense).

 They get instructions straight from user end depending

upon the item to be moved or shipped.

 After instructions given ,they send the goods to human

workers, who then arrange the products to be packed and
posted to customers around the world.
