• THE ACT 520 state the function of CIDB

1. To promote and stimulate the development, improvement and
expension of the construction industry
2. To promote and encourage quality assurance in construction
industry
3. To manage any complain or report made in respect any failure of
construction work affecting public safety and take appropriate
action to handle it
4. Requlating implementation for safe and quality work
5. To encourage the standardization and improvement of construction
techniques and materials.
6. To accredit and certify skilled construction workers and
construction site supervisor
7. To accredate and register contractors and to cancel suspend or
reinstate the registration of any registered contractor
8. Carrying out all activities in Construction industry
9. Awarding certificate of proficiency
