Geometry is a subject in mathematics that
focuses on the study of shapes, sizes,
relative configurations, and spatial
properties. Derived from the Greek word
meaning "earth measurement," geometry
is one of the oldest sciences.
Geometry has been the subject of countless
developments. As a result, many types of
geometry exist, including Euclidean
geometry, non-Euclidean geometry,
Riemannian geometry, algebraic geometry,
and symplectic geometry.One type of
geomentry is lines and angles, which is uesd
to measure and learn about geometrical
figures
a line segment is a part of a line that is bounded
by two distinct end points, and contains every
point on the line between its endpoints. A
closed line segment includes both endpoints,
while an open line segment excludes both
endpoints; a half-open line segment includes
exactly one of the endpoints.

One way to think of a ray is a line with one end.
A ray starts at a given point and goes off in a
certain direction forever, to infinity. The point
where the ray starts is called the endpoint. On
its way to infinity it may pass through one or
more other points.

A line is a straight one-dimensional figure
having no thickness and extending
infinitely in both directions. A line is
sometimes called a straight line.It has
only one dimension, namely length,
without any width nor depthline is the

In planar geometry, an angle is the figure formed
by two rays, called the sides of the angle,
sharing a common endpoint, called the vertex of
the angleThe latter is known as the vertex of the
angle and the rays as the sides, sometimes as
the legs and sometimes the arms of the
angle.Angle is also used to designate
the measure of an angle or of a rotation.

 In geometry, there are five types of angles:
 acute angle
 right angle
 obtuse angle
 straight angle
 Reflex angle
 Anacute angle ("acute" meaning "sharp") is
an anglesmaller than a right angle (it is less
than 90 degrees).
 anangle of 90°, as in a corner of a square,
or formed by dividing a circle into quarters.
 The
obtuse angle is the smaller angle. It is
more than 90° and less than 180°.
 an angle of 180°.
 Thereflex angle is the larger angle. It is
more than 180° but less than 360° If you
choose the smaller angle you might have
an Acute Angle, or an
Obtuse Angle instead: The larger angle is
a Reflex Angle, but the smaller angleis an
Acute Angle.
 Three or more points , , , ..., are said to
be collinear if they lie on a single straight
line . A line on which points lie,
especially if it is related to a geometric
figure such as a triangle, is sometimes
called an axis. Two points are
trivially collinear since
two pointsdetermine a line.
 Adjacent angles are two angles that have
a common vertex and a common side. The
vertex of an angle is the endpoint of the
rays that form the sides of the angle.
When we say common vertex and common
side, we mean that the vertex point and
the side are shared by the two angles.

A linear pair of angles is formed when
two lines intersect. Two angles are said to
be linear if they are adjacent angles
formed by two intersecting lines. The
measure of a straight angle is 180
degrees, so a linear pair of angles must
add up to 180 degrees.

 Vertical
Angles are the angles opposite each
other when two lines cross. They are always
equal.
 siccors
 The point where intersecting lines meet
is called the point of intersection. There
is no limit to the number of lines that can
share a point of intersection.
Parallel lines will never intersect because
they extend infinitely in the same
direction and will never cross.
 Two roads intersecting
 if there are two lines in a plane, there
are two possibilities namely either
they intersect or they do not intersect. If
they intersect they are called
intersecting lines. If they do
not intersect they are called
parallel lines. Non - intersecting Lines
are parallel lines.
