properly monitored as it can be disruptive to the learning process.
2. Lack of effective training – Teachers may have some knowledge
on ICT, however, they may not be skilled enough to utilize this in a
manner that facilitates effective learning.
3. Limited ICT facilities – The physical infrastructure needed to use
ICT effectively may be lacking in most schools which hinders
differentiated learning.

1. Distraction – Students may use ICT for other activities instead of
its intended purpose. If they are using their mobile phones for an
activity, they play games or watch videos rather than doing what is
required.
2. Lack of ICT skills - If students are required to complete an online
quiz at home as part of an assignment, even though it may seem to
be s simple task, some students who lack these skills may find it
difficult and stressful to undertake

3. Limit Imagination – Students may copy information found on the
internet without using their imagination when completing assignments.

4. Neglect other Resources – Students may neglect the use of other


resources for information as they focus strictly on computer and internet
as a source of information.
Each teacher should always be conscious of teaching students
with special needs. All students learn different, some through
Audio/Visual, Bodily- Kinesthetic, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal
and many different ways.
It is up to the teacher to identify these students and develop
effectively differentiated teaching styles that can develop and
accommodate learning to each students.
ICT has a crucial role to play in ensuring that special needs
students are given every opportunity to participate and enjoy
learning.
