Mapalad ang mga mapagpakumbaba sapagkat
mamanahin nila ang daigdig.

 WHAT DOES MEEKNESS HAVE TO DO WITH
GOD?

Mateo 5:16 Gayundin naman, dapat ninyong

paliwanagin ang inyong ilaw sa harap ng mga
tao upang Makita nila ang inyong mabubuting
gawa at papurihan ang inyong Ama na nasa
langit.
Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount so
that his Father would get the glory for the
way the disciples lived. His aim was to create
a lifestyle in His disciples that would make
people think about the value of God.

 I.THEY TRUST IN GOD ALONE

II. THEY COMMIT THEIR WAY TO GOD.
v.5a Ang iyong sarili’y sa kanya italaga…

a. By being loyal and dedicated to God cause

= to give glory to His name.
b. By engaging ourselves in our duty to obey the great
commission.

 III. THEY ARE STILL BEFORE GOD
AND WAIT PATIENTLY FOR HIM.

7a Sa harap ni Yahweh ay pumanatag ka, maging matiyagang maghintay sa kanya;

a. They are free of frenzy

b. Have a quiet steadiness about their lives in the
midst of upheaval.

The meek are people who wait for the Lord!

IV.THEY WERE NOT WORRIED OVER
THE WICKED WHO PROSPER.
7b … huwag mong kainggitan ang gumiginhawa,
sa likong paraan umunlad man sila.
8 Huwag kang mapoot ni mababalisa, iyang
pakagalit iwasan mo sana; walang kabutihan
makakamtan ka.
 a. They refrain from anger and
fretfulness.
b. Their family, work and life are place
in God’s sovereign hands.
 V. THEY EXEMPLIFY THE LIFE OF
CHRIST.

Filipos 2: 6-8 Kahit siya’y likas at tunay na Diyos, hindi niya

ipinapilitang manatiling manatiling kapantay ng Diyos.
7 Sa halip, kusa niyang hinubad ang pagiging kapantay ng
Diyos at nagging katulad ng isang alipin. Ipinanganak siya
tulad ng mga karaniwang tao. At nang si Cristo’y maging tao,
8 nag pakumbaba siya at nagging masunurin hanggang
kamatayan maging ito man ay kamatayan sa krus.
 a. By exercising power with sensitivity

to others or is consistently self-depreciating, for it is in
his nature to avoid conflict and remain a background

that one has, the greater the need for that person to

 VI. HOLD ON TO GOD’S
PROMISES
a. By Believing that we are co-heirs with Christ.

Roma 8: 17a At yamang mga anak ng Diyos, tayo’y

mga tagapamana ng Diyos at kasamanng tagapagmana
ni Cristo…
The effect that Jesus want this promise to have
on his disciples was to give them strength to
continue in their meekness even in the midst of
trials and persecutions.

Mateo 5:12 “Magsaya kayo at magalak sapagkat

Malaki ang inyong gantimpala sa langit. Gayundin ang
ginawa ng mga tao sa mga propetang nauna sa inyo.”
 The meek is portrayed as persons who trust in
God, commit their way to God, are still before
God and wait patiently for Him, are not worried
over the wicked who prosper, exemplify the life of
Christ and hold on to God’s promises.
Do we want to be portrayed as meek? Then, let’s
have these qualities and be blessed!
