WHAT IS BARRIER??
 A barrier is any unwanted disturbance that
causes dirtortion in sending & recieving of
messages.
SEMANTIC BARRIERS
 Improper Encoding

When sender has a difficulty in transforming


his ideas into language and it results in
misinterpretation by reciever.
BYPASSING

Miscommunicaiton Pattern which occurs


when the sender & receiver, miss each
other with their meanings due to
background of the people in conversation.

 Same words - Different meanings


 Different words - Same thing
FRAME OF REFERENCE

Sometimes conversation takes place in a certain


reference situation if a person is ignorant to that
reference ,he will not able to grasp the meaning.
PHYSICAL BARRIERS
 Noise
 A noise is any unwanted sound which can case
distortion between sending and receiving a message.
 Any extreme background voice ,sound or unwanted
disturbance can be defined as noise.
 Creating a noise is not always by sound ,any
emotional or cycological hindrance ca also create
noise.
 An adverse physical condition can also make
communication difficult.
OTHER BARRIERS
 Time ,Distance ,Age & Gender are also resposible
for altered message.

 Cycological & Emotional Interference


 Bad Listening
 Close Mindedness
 Extreme Emotions
 Distorted cycological state
