 Intellect Design Arena Ltd, is a global leader in Financial Technology for
Banking, Insurance and other Financial Services.
 Intellect products has been running in over 200 financial institutions, across 30
countries.
 Intellect Design Arena was created after the de-merger of Polaris services and
product businesses in 2014. The services business continued to operate under
Polaris Financial Technology, while Intellect Design Arena took over the products
business.

DATA MIGRATION:
 Data migration is the process of moving data from one location to
another, one format to another, or one application to another. Generally,
this is the result of introducing a new system or location for the data.
SSIS Package Comparison Tool
INTRODUCTION: SSIS Package Compare utility compares two SSIS packages to
identify the data differences between them and produce a report in html
format.
Characteristics of package comparison tools are:
 Provide a report on the data and format differences between two packages.

 Highlight the data difference.

 Provide detail description of changes.

Why Package Comparison Tool?
 No open source application to compare SSIS packages.

 Difficult to compare packages manually.

 Existing Tools are not up to the requirement of our data team.

 Existing Tools shows all the changes even if it is not logical.

 Output file format is difficult to understand.

 Existing tools use basic XML comparison only.

 Project Description

• SSIS Package Compare utility compares two SSIS packages to

identify the data differences between them and produce a report in
HTML format and CSV.

• Provide a report on the data and format differences between two packages.

• Data differences detail on the logical changes to the package and

format differences should detail on the format changes between the
files.

• System should be able to track all the valid difference with in the packages.
• System should be able to get the path, where the differences are taken place.
• System should be able to maintain detail report on the difference.
• System should provide highlighted text of differences.
• System should be secure
Hardware & Software requirement

 Processor Intel Pentium 4 or later

 RAM 1 GB RAM or higher
 Hard Disk Desktop or Laptops with 500MB Free Space in C drive

 Operating System Windows XP or Windows 7

 Software Package JDK 1.6, JRE 6, Eclipse.
 SSIS, SVN Server
 Data Base SQL Server


Area I worked
There is no tool for Data Warehousing team that can
compare two SSIS package at the time of deployment of
package.

• While working in module, First I worked on SSIS Package

creation to understand all the requirement

•I work on this from the scratch to end as well as unit testing

of the tool.
Future Scope
 Currently this tool reduces the effort of data warehousing team of Intellect
SEEC at the time of deployment of package.

 Will work on the format and efficiency of report.

 Will work on hyperlink of the difference.

 Will try to work on more differences.
