The past perfect expresses the idea that
something occurred before another action in
the past. It can also show that something
happened before a specific time in the past.
 WHEN TO USE PAST PERFECT TANSE
We use the past perfect because it happened before
other action in the past
Past perfect is also used when we want to tell the
things that have happened in the past
 PATTERN OF PAST PERFECT
+ S + had +past participle(V3)
I had eaten
Example :

- S + had + not + past participle(V3)

Example :
