BRAIN

•Body’s control center

•Part of the nervous system
(Spinal cord, nerves and neurons)
Brain - Disorder
•Affect - Memory, Sensation, Personality
Any conditions or disabilities that affect your brain.

•Illness
•Genetics
•Traumatic Injury

TYPES –
Brain injuries, Brain tumors,
Neurodegenerative diseases, Mental disorders
Brain Injuries
Caused by Blunt Trauma –
Brain Tissue, Neurons, and Nerves

•Hematomas
•Blood Clots
•Contusions, or Bruising of Brain Tissue
•Cerebral Edema, or Swelling Inside The Skull
•Concussions
•Strokes
Symptoms of a Brain Injury
•Vomiting
•Nausea
•Speech difficulty
•Bleeding from the ear
•Numbness
•Paralysis
•Memory loss
•Problems with concentration
•High Blood Pressure
•Irregular Breathing
Brain Tumors
Primary and secondary, Malignant or Benign
Symptoms of brain tumors depend on the size and
location of the tumor
•Headaches
•Seizures
•Numbness or tingling in your arms or legs
•Nausea
•Vomiting
•Difficulty with movement or balance
•Changes in your hearing, speech, or vision
Treatment (Surgery -chemotherapy -radiation therapy)
Neurodegenerative Diseases
Neurodegenerative diseases cause your brain and
nerves to deteriorate over time.
Alzheimer’s disease, Tay-Sachs disease, Huntington’s disease,
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), or Lou Gehrig’s disease,
Parkins, all forms of dementia
Common Symptoms
memory loss – forgetfulness – apathy – anxiety - a loss of
inhibition - mood changes

Neurodegenerative diseases cause permanent damage

No Cure
Mental Disorders
Affect your behavior patterns
The most frequently diagnosed mental disorders are:
•Depression
•Anxiety
•Bipolar disorder
•Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
•Schizophrenia

MS1630
Disposable Medical Pressure Sensor MS1630

The MS1620 is a fully piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor for use in

intrauterine pressure monitoring. The sensor is designed to be used
with automated assembly equipment and can be dropped directly
into a customer's disposable intrauterine housing. The sensor is
designed to meet the requirements as described in the Association
for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) specification
for Blood Pressure Transducers.

Pressure range: -66...400mbar gage; Température range: 5... +45°C
