RECTIFICATION
 Converting ac to dc is accomplished by the
process of rectification.

 Two processes are used:


Half-wave rectification;
Full-wave rectification.

RIPPLE FACTOR

 The ac component present in the output of


an ac rectifier is called ripple factor.

 Smaller the ripple,the better is rectifier.

 Ripple factor = R M S value of ac component
