1. Explain the meaning of the title, “The
Flight from Conversation”.
 Flight simply means, drifted apart by
technology’s advancements. We have departed
from real life interaction/socialization in
exchange to social media communication.
2. Identify the main idea/thesis of the video.

 Technology has been the means of

communication but lately it has been a reason to
why people stop acting like people. We lose
ourselves because of technology, people became
less like humans and more like robots, numb and
dumb.
3.1 “Alone Together”

 We could still be together even we’re far from

each other. Or vice versa,
 We are together but each of us has our own
world, actively attached to technology.
3.2 “We want to customize our lives”

 We feel so alone with the people around us

because we feel like no one is listening, therefore
we become more and more dependent on the
technology.
 Since technology’s breakthrough, we create a
false picture of a perfect life.
3.3 “I share therefore I am”

 Most of us think that connection via social media

is an isolation to the real world, but it isn’t. It is
common now a days to share thoughts through
social media, hoping to get a favorable
response.
4. Give the reasons discussed in the video why
people prefer social media over real
conversation.
 People are afraid to be left out.
5. What is your reaction to the talk?
 Humans are so disappointing that they’ve
reached the point of forgetting to be human &
make mistakes. We were saddened to realize
that we often isolate ourselves from the real
world because of its imperfections and choose to
live in the world of lie we created through
technology.
