 Company Introduction
 The company was incorporated as Birla Communications Limited on
March 14, 1995 and commenced business on August 11, 1995.

 IDEA Cellular is a leading GSM mobile service operator with a

customer base of over 63.82 million in 22 service areas.

 IDEA provides basic voice & Short Message Service (SMS) services to
high-end value added services such as Mobile TV, Games.

 IDEA was the first to launch GPRS and EDGE in India.

 IDEA Changed name to Idea Cellular Limited and launched "Idea"

brand name in 2002.

 The group operates in 25 countries, and is anchored by over 1,25,000

employees belonging to 25 nationalities.
