INTRODUCTION
OVERVIEW
Employability is a set of achievement
skills, understanding and personal attributes
that make graduate more likely to gain
employment and be successful in their
chosen occupations, which benefits
themselves, the workforce, the community
and the economy.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

 Provide information and knowledge to


CMU-SHS STEM graduates in finding jobs.
 Serve as a helping material for the K-12
curriculum and development planners.
 Contribute to the academe and
researchers for future research undertakings.
HYPOTHESIS
CMU-SHS STEM graduates 18-20
years old have small opportunities in
the labor market but still capable of
being employed.
OBJECTIVES
Determine the factors affecting CMU-SHS attained through Inteview
STEM graduates’ employability.

Identify the institutions offering Inteview


attained through
employments to CMU STEM graduates.

Know the employability skills of CMU-SHS Survey


attained through Questionnaire
STEM graduates 18-20 years old.
LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

The study focused on the employability of CMU


STEM graduates 18-20 years old in Valencia City,
Bukidnon. Twenty CMU-SHS STEM graduates, now
first year college students, were the respondents
and five employers of government agencies in
Valencia City were the informants.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION
AND RECOMMENDATION
SUMMARY
The factors affecting the employability of the CMU-SHS
STEM graduates 18-20 years old include age,
education, experience, employability skills and
qualifications. Land Transportation Office and Human
Resource Management Office offer employments for
the graduates particularly low-position jobs such as
utility, clerical works, information, communication and
technology (ICT), driving and road-keeping.
CONCLUSION
Based on the results, the hypothesis is accepted.

CMU-SHS STEM graduates 18-20 years old have


small opportunities in the labor market specifically
in the government agencies in Valencia City but
still capable of being employed.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that…
 further studies may be carried out on students from other colleges
and faculties to see whether there are any similarities in the
findings.
 future research could also explore the difference between broader
or larger companies inside and outside Valencia City in order to
gather larger amount of data regarding the employability
preferences of the involved institutions.
 business employers would be interviewed for a better comparison
of results.
