Krsna consciousness gradually and become a good dev eventually. • Selfless service as a representative of our seniors. 1. ASK PERTINENT QUESTIONS: ▫ All relationships begin though exchange of “questions and answers” ▫ GET IT FROM HORSE’S MOUTH - ASK what do you like? Which color? Which food? Which place? Which book? Which hobby? What are u parents doing? Ask about sessions … what did he like? ▫ If you do not know about a person how will you make friendship? 2. EMPATHIC LISTENING ▫ Don’t keep speaking, hear the student … ▫ Gives a feeling of “he understands me …” ▫ Arouses trust and faith…. 3. AROUSE INTEREST: • Find out what a person is interested in and then show him how he can get it best when he is connected to VOICE. • WIIFM – most people are in this category. ▫ Example – Music – KC day starts from it – “Siksa…” & ends with it “Sayan arti” • Get people who are already interested in direct spi or sim areas rather than creating interest. 4. MAKE THEM FEEL COMFORTABLE NOT INTIMIDATED ▫ Everyone loves company of those who “make them feel comfortable”. ▫ MMFGAM – “Make Me Fill Good About Myself.” ▫ Avoid too much pushing, arguing, forcing … ▫ Avoid boasting yourself … ▫ he gets 'feeling and acceptance ' in spite of his mistakes / ups and downs in K.C 4. contd… Real case studies of EGO HURTING: • CASE 1 : Devotee-“why didn’t you come for 4th session.” • New boy- “I had my tests……….” • Devotee-“Don’t you know that Krishna says in BG that He is • the cause of intelligence, remembrance and forgetfulness.” • CASE 2: Devotee – “Why didn’t you come yesterday for the program.” • New boy – “I went for a cinema ….” • Devotee – “You are like the elephant ……after taking bath you are rolling in mud.” • CASE 3: Devotee – “Please come for mangal arati at 7 a.m.” • New boy – “I will just take bath and come …..” • Devotee – “Authorities are telling you to come just now …..” • CASE 4: Devotee – “Please take this BG ….” • New boy - “I have already read BG.” • Devotee – “Then tell me how many chapters are there in BG and which is essence sloka?” 5. INVEST YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS • What else can I do for him which will make him feel happy about KC/VOICE? ▫ Example – HG RSP giving “bead bag” to a dev when he came to 4 rounds… • “He is coming for MP regularly, now he can sing MA.” “His birthday ….” • Dovetail their propensities … engage in some suitable service. • Give gifts, notes, prev year papers, “All the best cards …” etc… give, Give & GIVE and they will …. Take, Take & TAKE KC… • Take care like a mother / brother … 6. POWER OF PRASAD ▫ Do not forget to take prasadam!!! Do not underestimate this. ▫ Whenever a student is saying no / hesitating to accept KC… give more prasadam … 7. DEPOSIT AND THEN DEBIT • Before debiting once deposit 100 times • Debit points – “Please chant 4 rounds…”, “please come for MP …”, “please ….” 8. MAINTAIN CONSTANT TOUCH • Ye yatha mam prapadyante … • Use technology – send emails, sms, call, personal meeting • Meet frequently for short time (10mins) rather than long seldom meetings. 9. PRAY, PRAY AND PRAY … and they will stay, Stay and STAY in KC ▫ Pray as a service … Pray to become their servants ▫ We are not the doers, …. 10. PERSONAL APPLICATION • “Cesures wife should be beyond all suspicion.” • Most things are “caught” than “taught”. • If not then Creates doubt and confusion
