Input Devices
Input Device is a piece of hardware that
enables data to flow into a computer
Mouse
A computer mouse is a
handheld hardware input
device that controls a cursor in a
GUI and can move and select
text, icons, files, and folders.
For desktop computers, the
mouse is placed on a flat surface
such as a mouse pad or a desk
and is placed in front of your
computer.
Keyboard
 A keyboard is a peripheral device that enables a user to
input text into a computer or any other electronic
machinery. A keyboard is an input device and is the most
basic way for the user to communicate with a computer.
Joystick
 A joystick is an input device
that can be used for
controlling the movement of
the cursor or a pointer in a
computer device. The
pointer/cursor movement is
controlled by maneuvering a
lever on the joystick. The
input device is mostly used for
gaming.
Light Pen
A light pen is a computer input
device in the form of a light-
sensitive wand used in
conjunction with a computer's
CRT TV set or monitor
Scanner
 A scanner is an electronic
device which can capture
images from physical items
and convert them into digital
formats, which in turn can be
stored in a computer, and
viewed or modified using
software applications.
Barcode code Reader
 A barcode reader, also called a price
scanner or point-of-sale ( POS )
scanner, is a hand-held or stationary
input device used to capture and read
information contained in a bar code . A
barcode reader consists of a scanner , a
decoder (either built-in or external),
and a cable used to connect the reader
with a computer.
Web Cam
 A webcam is a hardware
camera and input device that
connects to a computer and
the Internet and captures
either still pictures or motion
video of a user or other object.
Output Devices
 An output device is any device used to send data from
a computer to another device or user. Most computer
data output that is meant for humans is in the form
of audio or video.
Monitor
 a monitor is an output
device that displays video
images and text. A monitor
is made up of circuitry, a
screen, a power supply,
buttons to adjust screen
settings, and casing that
holds all of these
components.
Printers
 A printer is a device that
accepts text and graphic
output from a computer
and transfers the
information to paper,
usually to standard size
sheets of paper. Printers
vary in size, speed,
sophistication, and cost.
Projector
 A projector is an output device
that can take images generated
by a computer or Blu-ray player
and reproduce them onto a
screen, wall, or other surface.
Typically, the surface projected
onto is large, flat, and lightly
colored.
Speaker
 A computer speaker is a
hardware device that connects
to a computer to generate
sound. The signal used to
produce the sound that comes
from a computer speaker is
created by the computer's
sound card.
Plotters
 A plotter is a computer vector
graphic printer that gives a hard
copy of the output based on
instructions from the system.
Plotters are widely used to print
designs of things such as cars,
ships and buildings on a piece
of paper using a pen.
Braille Embosser
 braille embosser is a device that
can generate printed material
using the braille writing system
for blind or visually impaired
users. They press dots down
onto a piece of paper to let a
person using the braille system
read by using their fingers.
