“Which transmission car is better?” is the
most commonly raising question in every
persons mind while buying a car in recent
times. Which is followed by questions like
“which is suitable for my need?”, “Which is
more efficient?”, etc. Main thing that arises
is about the fuel consumption and initial
cost for automatic and manual transmission
car. The presence of the clutch pedal plays
an important role in manual transmission,
which is absent in automatic transmission.
This study tries to answer many questions
that aeries for both transmission.
 In the recent times the craze for automatic
transmission cars has increased to great
extent.many people are attracted towards
automatic transmission car.many comapnies
of car manufacturing has manufactured both
automatic and manual transmission car.a
transmission basically transfers the power
from a car’s engine to drive shaft and the
wheels.
 Comparing customer satisfaction level and
their feedback in Manual and Automatic
transmission of Automobile (Car)
 To find out which is the best transmission
system for the people to rely on
 To know the efficiency of both manual and
automatic transmission systems
 To know the most preferable system for the
people among the two
 It is easier to build a strong manual
transmission than an automatic one. This is
because a manual system has one clutch to
operate, whereas an automatic system has a
number of clutch packs that function in
harmony with each other. This study shows
why people choose manual system more than
a automatic transmission system
 This study is based on primary data where we
took questionnaires and opinions from different
people
 This study is based on secondary data which
taken from other research papers from the
internet. This report can help every one of us to
know about the manual and automatic
transmissions of cars.
 The study was conducted in vizag.
Questionnaires were designed and administered
to drivers who drive or (have been) driving both
manual and automatic transmitted gear vehicles
 satisfactorylevels in manual transmission
system is more (compared to 44.6%) when
automatic transmission (28.9%).
 engine performance is observed that in
manual transmission system is more (43.4%)
compared to automatic transmission
system(19.3%)
 fuel economy is more in manual transmission
system (41%) when compared to automatic
transmission system(13.3%)
 Most people prefer manual transmission
system and they found it is most reliable
 Asmost of the people mostly prefers
manual transmission system than
automatic,companies must
introduce new technologies to
automatic transmission system so
that it tends people to choose
automatic system too.
 The study concludes that individuals prefer
automatic transmission vehicles meanwhile,
the choice of manual transmitted vehicles
also depends on these first three factors (i.e.
reparability (easily repairable), reliability
and better fuel economy). Majority of the
respondents prefer manual transmission
vehicles. However, most female drivers
prefer the automatic transmitted vehicles
because it is easy to be used by them. Each
system has an advantage over the others as
well as disadvantages
