How to conjugate the regular verbs
ending in “ER”.

First we have to know the infinite form of the verb –


in French and the English equivalent of the French
verb is always preceded by “to”
For example:
Parler  to speak
Commencer  to commence
Demander  to ask.
Now in odder to state the verb in the present tense
the verb in the infinitive changes the spelling
which is in agreement of the subject pronouns.

You (formal and to show respect)

Conjugation method

 Parler  to speak
 The stem of the verb or radical is PARL
 To this stem the spelling changes are made
which is in agreement with the subject
pronoun and the tense.
 The changes which indicates the “present
tense” with the subject pronouns are as
follows.
le present de l'indicatif
PARLER CONJUGATED IN THE
CHANGES ADDED TO THE STEM
PRESENT TENSE
 Je e Je parle
 Tues tu parles
 il/elle e Il /elle parle
 Nous  ons Nous parlons
 Vous ez Vous parlez
 ils /elles ent ils/ parlent
