PROBLEM STATEMENT

Large amount of food are discarded at NIFT Patna campus every day.
Many students are neither conscious of the volume of waste that they accumulate
individually in this college mess
Reason for food wastage :
• The usual habit of students of not attending the mess for daily meals rather going
outside after bring prompted by friends about the food not being delicious.
• The taste of food being not up to mark.
• Food menu has not been changed since years.

OBJECTIVE: To help the needy and the ones who could


not afford 2 time meal for their family.
WORKING: By democratising the process of food supply
chain we manage to organise weekly event which can be
divided into three phase.

RECOMMENDATIONS/SUGGESTIONS

• From next semester onwards, college mess fees should not be added with
hosteller's fees.
• They can be provided with weekly pass and the record will be maintained
simultaneously.
• We also have suggested our college mess to change the menu and add more
varieties in it.
• An app can be created where the students can create their Id’s and can fill when
they want to eat or not so that only that amount of quantity will be made.
