ABSTRACT
• This is an in-depth guide to creating effective and efficient airports.
To achieve this objective, professionals need to consider the whole
problem, from the initial planning, through the design of the facilities,
to the ultimate management and operation of the airport.

• Implementing new advances in the design, planning, and

management of airports.
Introduction
• The project is to design a proposal for setting up a secure network in an airport.

• The security is provided by integrating CCTV cameras

• A quick, coordinated secure network that allows information sharing between

the airlines, airport and security personnel

• high-speed network allows coordination of voice, video and data to allow security
personnel .

• Provide guests with secure wifi.

Planning.
Problem definition
• Airports vary widely in age and existing network
architecture.

• Many novel devices and emerging technologies are being investigated

and rapidly deployed at airports
Objective
• The project is to design a proposal for setting up a
network in an airport.
• To develop knowledge in the term of project
development.
Problem solution
• To accommodate the disparity, airports can take a
modular approach that encourperates
• Quality of Service
• Security
• High Availability
• Management
• Multicasting
• Scalability
Networking Requirement
• 1.The active networking components (Routers, switches,
wireless access points etc) with quantity.
• 2.The IP network design for each department.
• 3.Creating and mapping IP networks with vlans.
• 4.Analysis, identification and explanation of methodologies
to use for access restriction and internet sharing.
• 5.Dynamic IP addressing design for all the networks.
• 6.Identify the configuration and features, wherever
appropriate, which is required on the active components to
setup the network
Technology Used
CISCO Packet Tracer

• It is easy to use and can be used on the any place you want.

• One of the best advantage of it is the Sim mode which otherwise don’t available in the real gear
thing.

• It enables it’s users to simulate the configuration relating to the Cisco routers
Hardware used
•HUBs
•L2 and L3 Switches
•Routers
•Modems
•WIC Cards, S/T Cards and various modules for routers and switches.
•Firewalls
•Very small aperture terminal(VSAT)
•Various types of cables for interconnecting Network Devices.
•Servers according to Customers requirements
•IP camera
summary
• While the security benefits of the Cisco solution answer the need to
increase safety for the flying public, the additional benefits make a
convincing business case for the common network infrastructure.
Security, airport and airlines operations, and communications functions
gain from the increased speed, greater efficiency, reduced cost,
minimized space requirements, ease of installation and expansion, and
simplified network management of a system protected by advanced
security features and service redundancy
