Celecoxib (coxib) 200 mg BID x 5 days


Etoricoxib (arcoxia) 120mg OD x 5 days
Tramadol+PCM (algesia) tab Q6h prn for pain
Mupirocin (bactroban) BDS x 10 days
Aplosin Otic drops Instill 3 drops on affected ear x 15 mins, TID x 7

Flammazine Cream BDS
Cefuroxime 500 mg BID x 7 days
Sultamicillin (Silgram) 750mg tab BID x 7days
Metronidazole (Dazomet) 500 mg TID x 7 days

Cefalexin 500 mg tab TID x 7 days
Mefenamic Acid 500 mg tab Q6h x 5 days then as needed for pain

ADULT GLASGOW COMA SCALE
• Used to describe the general level of consciousness
in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and to
define broad categories of head injury.
• Divided into 3 categories:
– Eye Opening
– Motor Response
– Verbal response
• The score is determined by the sum of the 3
categories with a maximum of 15 and a minimum
score of 3

Interpretation of GCS
• The GCS is often used to help define the
severity of TBI
– Mild Head Injury: GCS score of 13-15
– Moderate Head Injury: GCS score of 9-12
– Severe Head Injury: GCS score of 8 or less

• Patients who are intubated are evaluated only


based on eye opening and motor response and the
suffix T is added to their score to indicate intubation.
– The maximum GCS score is 10T and the minimum score
