While selecting sites for housing construction, district collector have to identify most suitable land available if any. In rural areas; independent houses shall be taken with an plot area of 125 sft. In urban areas; houses shall be taken up in G+ pattern waste water is from showers, basins, kitchen sinks, washing machine is called grey water. Normally min 75mm dia pipes are used for drainage of waste water. Soil water or sewage is from WCs and urinals called as black water; min of 100dia pipes are used A grease traps should be used when draining waste from kitchens, grease should not be allowed to enter the normal drainage system Plumbing system in buildings consists of underground tank which is supplied water via municipal lines. From there water supplied to over head tanks and there by due to gravity water reaches to home outlets. The over head tank can however be eliminated if water is supplied directly from underground tank to kitchen outlets. The district collector shall constitute a district monitoring committee to monitor the progress of 2bedroom housing scheme. District collector is responsible for any issues arising from time to time. The district collector shall ensure quailty control of 2bedroom housing programme throught the engineering department.
