Introduction

 Our research is about the use of digital technology in

education.
 Recent studies say that 95% of university students are
regularly using social networking sites.
 In our survey we have asked the students of Fatima Jinnah
women university about the use of digital technology in
their daily life and whether they use it for educational
purposes or not.
Literature review

In our research we have searched for articles on the internet

related to our topic and we have done survey among a
number of students in our university to see if we get the same
results or if we get any different responses from the students
and we have related the results with other articles from the
internet
Methodology

We did the survey for our research with thirty students of our
university
We asked fifteen students from one department to fill the
survey for us and asked the other fifteen students from a
different department to fill the surveys for us
The two departments we chose for our research were the
department of computer arts ( BCA) and the department of
public administration (BPA).

Conclusion

 According to this study, it is said that the majority of the

university students spend between one to more than six
hours daily on social media platforms, such as Facebook ,
Whatsapp , Instagram , Twitter and Google either for
educational purposes or any others .
Recommendations

 We recommend students to use social media platforms in a

more positive way and avoid misuses of social media
platforms.
 Students should avoid using social media and digital
technology excessively because excessive use of anything
is harmful for the mind and body.
