Provide for identifying hazard and the measures to eliminate and control risk
Provide relevant workplace safety and health hazards awareness and training to
their workers
Ensure compliance of the provisions of the Act and the Rule and Regulations
framed there under.
IMPORTANT OF SMP AS PER CMR-2017
Drastic amendments are made in CMR2017 emphasizing the need for risk
assessment /analysis and preparation and implementation of Safety Management
Plan which is regulatory innature
O/A/M shall identify and assess the risk by appropriate process and record
the same and make available to all concerned.
O/A/M shall determine measures to eliminate/control/minimise the risk or
to provide PPE
O/A/M shall prepare an auditable document called SMP.
The SMP shall contain policy planning , methodology , PHMP , SOP’S , way
to measure / monitor / evaluate the performance of SMP and a plan to
review the SMP
O / A/ M shall responsible for effective implementation and periodically
review SMP.
IMPORTANT OF SMP AS PER CMR-2017
COP shall provide for safe operating procedures ,examination and testing
of machinery before first use and during regular use.
O/A/M shall handover the copies of COP for all concerned and readily
available in the office and respective places.
