Significant Achievements • “Limca Book of Records” :- Being the Largest Residential Tribal Institute of South Asia providing free Food, Accomodation, Education to ten thousand tribal children from KG to PG • KISS won first prize for four consecutive years in National School Children Science Congress • World Champions Under – 14 Rugby Tournament at London (2007). • Under – 14 Girls Rugby team selected to play matches with the teams in London (March 2010) • Under – 16 Boys Rugby team selected to play matches with different teams in France (November 2009). • 100 % result in High School Certificate Examination of Orissa for last seven years. • 100 % result in +2 Arts Higher Secondary Education against the State result of 69.99% and 90 % result in +2 Science for last three years. • One student of Class IX participated in International Children’s and Youth Conference in South Korea organized by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) (August 2009). Credibility & Recognition of KISS • “UNFPA & KISS Life Skill Centre”:- For the first time in South East Asia , UNFPA set up the Life Skill Centre for the under privileged at KISS campus. The Life Skill programme will overcome knoweldge and skills deficit in the state of Orissa. The programme addresses tribal adolescents who are highly veunerable and have fewer opportunities to access information. • “US Government Sponsored English Access Micro scholarship Programme”:- US Government has selected KISS to implement this innovative project for the first time for the tribals in the country which will enable the tribals students to go through English Skill development programmes. • “UKTI India Business Award”:- First time in India, KISS as a social organization nominated under UK TI India Business Award,2009 under the CSR category along with Tata Steel and Unilever • “World Innovation Summit on Education (WISE)”:- KISS was nominated as one of the innovative project in the World ROAD AHEAD FOR KISS
• The target is to reach 200000 (2 lakh) children by the end of 2011 by :-
• Setting up 2o nos of schools in 20 tribal district of Orissa with 1000 capacity • Three schools at Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, MP, Karnataka and Maharashtra • Two schools at Nepal & Cambodia
