The nervous system is one of the most complexed of
all human body systems. This system communicates
between the various parts of the body. More than 10
billion nerve cells are opening all over the body. Some
of the important and day-to-day activities such as
speaking, moving, hearing, tasting, seeing, thinking,
emotions, secreting hormones, responding to
dangerous situations such as pain, heat, cold, touch,
etc. are composed of small number of many activities
which are composed of small number of activities
which are controlled by the nervous system.

The nervous system is the first body system to
develop in the human embryo-an indication of its
importance to the rest of the body. It is sometimes
referred to as the “master system” because of the
regulatory effect which is exerts over the other body
systems. The human nervous system is one of the
systems most likely to suffer as a result of poor
nutrition, abuse an stress. Nutritional support is
therefore tremendously important today, especially
considering the typical onslaught of junk foods which
the body must contend with.
