 Indian air force established on 8 oct 1932

in British India as a auxiliary air force of


British royal air force (RAF)
 In 1st April 1933 Indian air force (IAF)
commissioned its 1st squadron with four
west land wapiti biplanes and five indian
pilot
 Vultee vengeance
 Douglas Dakota
 Hawker hurricane
 Super marine spit fire
 West land Lysander
 In that time Indian air force use this type
of aircrafts to air strike, close air support,
aerial reconnaissance, bomber escort
and path finding.
 But nowadays 2019 Indian air force (IAF)
have holding 1720+ military aircrafts and
1,39,576 active personnel.
 and IAF having 18 types of military
aircrafts they are
And Indian air force (IAF) stands at no.4th
position in the list of strongest air force in
the world
 Air transportation in India started in 1911.
 In 1911, when the first commercial civil
aviation flight took off from a polo
ground in Allahabad carrying mail across
the Yamuna river to Naini.
 All the airway companies in India were
nationalized in 1953 and were put under
two corporations namely
 India airlines and air India
 In 1932 JRD Tata launches is first
scheduled airline
 Tata airlines was the first airlines launches
in India ,Tata airlines by piloting the 1st
flight himself from Karachi to Mumbai via
Ahmadabad on a single engine puss-
moth with load mails .
 Tata airline launches its longest domestic
flight from Mumbai to Trivandrum with a
six-seater miles Merlin.
 In nowadays India have nearly 15-25 airlines
were including full service ,regional, low
cost ,charter airlines.
 However seven airlines capture 98% of
domestic aviation market approximately.
 JRD TATA was the father of Indian aviation.

 India is the third-largest civil aviation market


in the world having a potential of
becoming second-largest aviation market
by 2020.
 List of all airlines ,aircrafts in India and
types of aircrafts in India as per the
statistics of 2016-2017
There are many challenges faced by
modern airline industry they are,
 Shortage of staffs
 Shortage of crews
 Training
 Maintenance of aircrafts
 Fuel cost
 Low airport
 Lack of Indian airports
 No airport in proper place.
 Boeing industry needs more than 1
million new pilots, mechanics to enter
work force by 2032.
 But there was no staffs due to costly
education so shortage of staffs in airline
may occur.
 In this need 500 pilots in 2019 and there
was 1350 cabin crews were shortage out
of 4900 and ground staffs need 9200
personnel out of 15,800.
 This was happens due to no knowlegde
between the people about the aviation
industry.
 Maintenance of aircraft is the major
problem faced by the airliners in the
world .
 Maintenance of aircraft is not a simple
think they need to clean the aircraft,
they need check the aircraft etc…
 And this maintenance of aircraft was has
not done properly because of less
workers for the particular work.
 There was no airport in place which need .
 In India there are 122 airports are been
activated in that many airports were not be
placed in proper place
 For example: from Chennai to Agra there
was no airport for going to that place take
road transport from Delhi to Agra after
landing on the Delhi airport
 This was happen due to the lackness of the
people and the government.
 Nowadays many airlines facing this fuel
price problem
 This fuel price was increase due to the
longer flight duration, disruptions in
schedule and the crude oil price has
hiked per barrel in India .
 And if there was any problem in turbine
can also increase fuel rate .
