INTRODUCTION
OUR GENERATION HAS GROWN UP WITH TECHNOLOGY. WE HAVE PERSONALLY
WITNESSED THE TRANSITION FROM WALL PHONES TO CORDLESS PHONES TO CELL
PHONES. WE HAVE WATCHED TVS GO FROM “NORMAL” TO HIGH DEFINITION AND ON
TO 3D. WE HAVE BECOME SO ACCUSTOMED TO TECHNOLOGY, IT IS SCARY T O THINK
WHAT WE WOULD DO IF WE LOST IT .

finding support.

WHAT CAN PARENTS DO FOR THEIR SOCIAL
MEDIA-OBSESSED TEEN?
They can try to understand their child’s feelings about social media. If he/she is
always on it due to FOMO (fear of missing out), he/she feels worse after using it,
and it's affecting other areas of his/her life, it may be time to step in. Try to limit
his/her use and help him/her gain perspective by getting him/her involved in other
activities. He/she might even enjoy other online social sites that are productive and
positive, such as movie and book fan sites or social sites such as Pinterest, which
are less about collecting likes or fans. If he/she is feeling depressed or has other
signs of anxiety (withdrawal from social or family activities, falling grades, a dramatic
change in behavior), contact your pediatrician for help.
CONCLUSION
Above were the pros and cons of Social
Media. Thus social media shows that it has
the power to make you or break you.
It totally depends on how and how much you
use it.
