CHATBOT ADVOCATE
CHATBOTS
WHAT IS A CHATBOT?

Chatbots are sophisticated

algorithms that mimic intelligent
conversation in chats.

It has a set of programmed

answers and behaviours.

These quasi-conversations do
not require human interaction.
THE THINGY WITH AI?

The first bot able to chat was

created in 1966 (ELIZA by MIT)

Most of the chatbots has no built-

in contextualising but scripted
responses.
Though none can pass the Turing
test, Ashok Goel of Georgia Tech
built a teaching assistant (Jill
Watson) which (who?) fooled
some students in 2016.
