Pastor’s Walk the Talk


A Healthy Lifestyle Program for Churches
 Jesus taught his disciples while they were walking
 Jesus dropped by some peoples houses during walks
Rationale  We are all in the walk of our life with Jesus
 Walking is healthy for the body
1. Prayer
i. Start the day with prayer

2. Read the Bible


i. Make reading the Bible a habit

3. Walk for an active lifestyle


i. Walk before breakfast

Elements of the ii. Take at least 5,000 steps or 3 kilometers


4. Visitation
Program i. Spend time with members of the community and not just
members of the church (ask for some drinking water)

5. Communication
i. Engage the congregation and community with real talk
ii. Question and answer conversations
 Opening prayer
 Stretching exercises (4 steps)
 Reading of Scripture texts
 Start of walk
 Sharing of reflections while walking
Flow of the  Station breaks at houses
Program  Water breaks
 Prayers for house members (Closing prayer at last house)
 Return to starting point
 Fellowship coffee
