CONCEPT DESIGN FOR TEMPLE

GRAND TEMPLE
• Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir Trust (VCMT) is building the world’s tallest
skyscraper temple in Vrindavan, about 140km South of Delhi. The Ananta Shesha
Sthapana Puja for this project was attended by the President of India, Sri Pranab
Mukherjee.

• Now VCMT plans to launch another project in Dehradun, the capital of

Uttarakhand. The aim is to inculcate noble values in the younger generation of
India as enshrined in the philosophy of the Gita. Honesty, compassion, sacrifice,
purity of body, surroundings, thoughts and deed, and devotion to Krishna are
some of the values which will be imparted to the youth. Building a nation of
character which the whole world will look up to, will be the theme of the Project.

• At the center of the project will be a Temple and Cultural Complex on the same
lines of our project in Vrindavan. The architecture will have a fusion of traditional
and modern architectural elements signifying the aspirations of the project to
present the ancient wisdom of Indian heritage and culture in a modern context.
Highlights of Dehradun Temple
• Daily pujas, pravachan, sevas, prasadam distribution and
periodic festivals will be conducted in this temple with
devotion and grandeur. Workshops and seminars will be
conducted for students and working professionals aimed at
enriching their lives with the knowledge and scientific
understanding of Indian culture, heritage and tradition. In
short, the temple once built will become a hub of activities
beneficial for the public at large, irrespective of caste,
creed, gender, colour or religion. The message of peace,
love and communal harmony will be the central message of
the project, brought above by a love for Lord Krishna and all
living beings as His children without discrimination on the
basis of caste or religion.
Multi Purpose Auditorium

We shall also set up a multi-purpose

Auditorium to seat about 500 people where we
shall organize cultural and religious programs
for children and adults

In Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad,

Guwahati etc., we are well known to
conduct various children centered activities
like Heritage Fest (a cultural competition
for school children in urban schools),
Krishna Contest (a written contest for
students in class 5 to 9 conducted
annually), Culture Camp (a summer camp
for children in classes 5 to 10 that involves
intensive Gita learning exercises and fun-
filled cultural activities), Gita Fest (a special
multi-event festival for school students
