BACKGROUND OF BUSINESS

ABS-CBN Corporation is Philippines-Based media and


Entertainment Company. The company operates in 3 segments:
TV and Studio, Pay TV Networks and New Business. The TV and
Studio segment comprises broadcast, covering content
creation and distribution through free television and radio with
Channel 2 and DZMM as its platforms: Global Operation, which
includes ABS-CBN International: film and music production,
cable channels and publishing. The TV and Studio consist of
local and global content creation and distribution through
television and radio broadcasting. The Pay TV Networks
segments includes cable television services of sky cable
Corporation and its subsidiaries in Metro Manila. The New
Business segment pertains to wireless telecommunication
business, digital terrestrial Television, theme parks and home
shopping

HISTORY

The ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center in Diliman, Quezon


City in Philippines is the oldest headquarters of ABS-
CBN. It occupies an area of approximately 34,000
square meters. It was originally built in 1968 and was
then the most advanced broadcast facility in Asia.
Today it is now the country’s Largest and most
technologically advanced media facility.
