Introduction
 Autonomous systems are gaining rapid
popularity.
 With this automation, financial and banking
activities are simplified.
 However, the cases of theft and robber have
very high proportion of over 90%.
 ATM Security.

Objectives

 An efficient system is to be implemented

with low-cost such that it detects the
happening of theft and sends the information
immediately to the nearest police station and
banks.

System Methodology

5 August 12, 2019

PIC16F877A
 8 bit Microcontroller.
 10 bit ADC.
 3 Timer modules.
 Flash memory (program memory)
 SRAM (data memory)
 EEPROM memory (programmable at run-time)
 Sleep mode (power savings)
 Watchdog timer.
 It supports communications ports such as UART, I2C,
CAN, and even USB.

Automatic Door Opener
 Opens the door when a person is detected.

 Motion detecting sensor.

 When someone comes in front of the door, the

infrared energy is detected by the sensor and it
triggers to open the door.

Contactless Cards
 Contactless payment systems are credit cards and debit
cards, smart cards, or other devices, including smart
phones and other mobile devices, that use RFID.

Fingerprint Sensor
 Optical Fingerprint sensor (R305) module is used.
 3.6 to 6.0 Volt DC.
 Current is 90 to 100 mA.
 SFG software
 Features
 Low power consumption,
 low cost,
 small size,
R305 Fingerprint module
 excellent performance

Contd...
 Applications:
 Vibration detecting
 Burglary protection system
 Features:
 Digital output
 Supply voltage:3.3V-5V
 On-board indicator LED to show the results
 On-board LM393 chip

GSM Modem
 It is a wireless modem that works with GSM wireless
network.
 It acts as the SMS gateway to send and receive SMS.
 The USART serial input pin RX and TX of the MC are
connected to the TXD and RXD pins of the GSM modem.
 AT commands are used to control modems which are
communicated through serial communication with a
microcontroller or PC.

Other System Components
 Automatic door lock
 Controller signal makes the DC motor(via motor
driver L293D) to lock the ATM door.

 Real time clock(RTC)

 It captures the time of theft and sends the
information to the nearest police station and banks.

Software Implementation
 MPLABX IDE
 MPLAB X is the latest version of the MPLAB IDE built
by Microchip Technology, and is based on the open-
source platform.
 It supports editing, debugging and programming of
Microchip 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit PIC microcontrollers.
 Proteus
 Software tool suite used primarily for electronic design
automation.
 The software is used mainly by electronic design engineers
and technicians to create schematics and electronic prints
for manufacturing PCB’s.

Advantages
 Highly secured.

 Multi level robust data security system.

 This system can monitor remote area ATM

machines from theft.

19 August 12, 2019

Future Scope
 In future the system can be implemented
using ARM CORTEX A8, Beagle bone as
well as updated processors with high
frequencies.

 In future we can provide more security to

data by using encryption, decryption
techniques.

20 August 12, 2019

Conclusion
 The proposed system ensures to develop
advanced ATM anti theft system.

 Proposed system is distinctive in many ways

from existing ATM intrusion and theft
control systems.

 It is reliable, inexpensive and appropriate

design.
